Though it is an intertwining of words and emotions, poetry has different meanings to different people. “Poetry is the chiseled marble of language. It is a paint-spattered canvas, but the poet uses words instead of paint, and the canvas is you”. (Flanagan, M. 2015). When a poem speaks to you, you find that you can relate to it and feel an openness when reading it. To inspire my art creation this week I chose a poem by Christina Rossetti titled “Sonnets are Full of Love”. INSPIRATION PIECE Sonnets are full of love Sonnets are full of love, and this my tome Has many sonnets: so here now shall be One sonnet more, a love sonnet, from me To her whose heart is my heart’s quiet home, To my first Love, my Mother, on whose knee I learnt love-lore that is not troublesome; Whose service is my special dignity, And she my loadstar while I go and come.
