There are many two-sided views on this topic. Although many may argue that it is outdated, there are some people that still believe it is a good practice to have in our judicial system still. One of the main moral reasons people are still for the death penalty, is because they believe we need to be tough on crime. This side views that if you commit an extreme crime like murder, or rape then you would deserve to be punished hard.
