Subsequently, the industrial revolution created a large impacted on the American life, making surrounding accessible and easily connected. The purpose of this case study is to investigate the development of modern society and its large impact on labor reformation and civil rights. Industrial Revolution According to UShistory.org (2018), Samuel Slater was the start of the American Industrial Revolution that opened the first mill in the United States in 1970. He created a technology that increased the speed cotton thread was spun into yarn. In 1864, Elias Howe designed a machine that sews beautiful and strong seams (Porter, 2009).
